She was born in Floraville, IL, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen, nee Schoenborn, Klein. Betty was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL, and a charter member of the Floraville Community Grange. She was married to Lawrence P. Beckerle, who survives her. They were married on May 11, 1950, in Paderborn, IL.
