Bertha was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and a charter member of the V.F.W. Auxillary Post #7980, Millstadt, IL. She was also an avid quilter at Concordia Church of Millstadt and for the Memorial Hospital Aux. She was owner and operator of Strauss Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL for 46 years.
