Bernice Adele, nee Gelbach, Sloan-Antinoro
Born to John and Ruth Gelbach, December 25, 1918 in St Louis, MO. She passed away on Wednesday August 20, 2014 at the age of 95 at Big River Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Hill, MO.
She was preceded in death by her first husband who passed away October 31, 1974, Byron Sloan, her second husband who passed away February 18, 1999, Louis Antinoro, 4 brothers, 1 sister and grandson who passed away September 19, 2011, Charles E Sloan Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Betty J. Hagenbroch of Atlanta, GA, her brother, Harold Gelbach of Florida, her son, Charles E Sloan Sr of St Louis, MO, her daughter, Betty Temares of Cedar Hill, MO, her grandchildren, David (Michelle) Parks of Dittmer, MO, Adora (Trenton) Sheraden of Ballwin, MO, her great grandchildren, Brandy Parks of Festus, MO, Kenneth Davis of Kansas City, MO, Serena Sheraden of Ballwin, Mo, David C Parks of Dittmer, MO, Carson Sheraden of Ballwin, MO, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bernice raised her family with husband Byron in South County, MO and Catawissa, MO where they had small farms and horses. She worked at several schools as a cook and retired at Hillsboro School District. After the passing of her husband Byron, she wed Louis Antinoro and moved to Zepherhills, Florida. She worked for a few hotels as a cook in Florida. Her favorite leisure activities were visiting Busch Gardens and Disney World and playing bingo. Bernice was very active and energetic, full of life, loved having family gatherings and entertaining family for holidays and family get togethers.
She loved to dance, she won a couple of dance contests at Bush Gardens. And went to the Eagles every Thursday for dinner & dancing. Very active in her church, she taught bible school every summer. She was in all the plays the children would put on at church. She also made crafts & had a booth at the flea market. She also went to Hawaii two times. She loved to go there. She was almost always a happy person and was grateful for what she had.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.

Funeral Home in Dupo, IL., with Rev. Josh Gray, officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
