Bernard James Roeber's Obituary
Bernard James Roeber, 76 years, of Columbia, Illinois, passed away on January 25th, 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born November 20th, 1946 in Belleville, Illinois to Bernard C. and Virginia E., nee Sager, Roeber.
He was an Air Force veteran who worked on B-52 planes during the Vietnam War. Bernard enjoyed antiquing and traveling, some of his favorite places included Florida, Branson, Missouri, and Lake of the Ozarks.
Surviving him is his sister, Sharon Guerrero, uncle, David Sager, cousins; Mike Sager, Kathy Sippo, and Carol Sager, along with other nieces, nephews, and other friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Bernard and Virginia Roeber, wife, Laura, nee Easley, Roeber, aunts; Ruth McGary and Esther, uncles; Lester, Andrew, James, and John Sager.
Private services will be held. Interment will follow at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the American Legion Post #581 in Columbia, Illinois.
