Babette "Babs" Rae Jackson, 53 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024 in Columbia, IL. She was born March 17, 1970, in Belleville, IL.
Babs was a school teacher for Washington Middle School in the Mehlville R-IX School District. She loved spending time with family and friends, boating, jeeping, and attending kids sporting events. She loved being a grandma. Babs was a very sociable person, she was the peacemaker and she loved her family and friends unconditionally and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Mark Jackson, her son, Adam (Paige) Jackson, her daughter, Allison (David) Belding, and her son, Kyle Jackson and his dog Gloria, her granddaughter, Josephine Jackson, her parents, David L. and Dorothy "Dot", nee Chaudet, Touchette, her brother, David (Becky) Touchette, her sister, Wendy (Jesse) Stevens, her mother-in-law, Linda Jackson, along with other relatives and many, many loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Paul Jackson.
A celebration of life will be held at Turner Hall, 211 E. Cherry St., Columbia, IL., beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024
