She was born in East Carondelet, IL, the daughter of late Reuel and Bernice, nee Kirk, Bean. She had worked at White Rodgers, St. Louis, MO and had been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL. She was married to the late Vernon O. Schneider. They were married on April 19, 1958, in Columbia, IL. He passed away April 21, 2015.
