Audrey Lee Smothers' Obituary
Audrey Lee Smothers, nee Ross, 87 years, of Cahokia, Illinois, passed away on Monday, December 6th, 2021 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. She was born February 8, 1934, in Poplar Bluff, MO to Virgil M. and Lois R. (Brown) Ross.
Audrey was a member of the Cahokia Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. She was a graduate of Dupo Community High School and a member of the National Honors Society.
Surviving is her son, Michael Wayne Smothers, daughters; Donna Lee Smothers and Amy Jane Ellerbrook, brother, Teddy David Ross, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Donald Smothers, son, Steven Donald Smothers, daughter, Stacy Ann Lentz, son-in-law, Craig Douglas Ellerbrook, grandson, Caleb Douglas Ellerbrook, great-granddaughters; Raelynn Rnea Lee and Jade Ann Lentz, and her parents.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 10th, 2021 from 9AM - 11AM at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Illinois. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Millstadt, Illinois.
