Audrey E. Jahr's Obituary
Audrey E. Jahr, 90 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on December 4, 2018 at de Greeff Hospice House, St. Louis, MO. She was born October 26, 1928, in Columbia, IL, daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl, nee Muskopf, Schroeder. She was married to Kenneth J. Jahr, who survives her. They were married June 11, 1949, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia, IL, and had served for many years as the church secretary, cemetery sextant, as well as the church kitchen committee. She had volunteered for many years with the Columbia Gymnastic Association Ladies Auxiliary.
Also, surviving are her son, Kurt (Debra) Jahr of Columbia, IL; daughter, Saundra (Charles) Bryan of Columbia, IL; grandchildren, Alexandra (Thomas) Bryan Byers, Jason (Lindsey) Jahr, Jeffrey (Suzanne) Jahr, Joseph (Trish) Koontz, and Adam (Leah) Koontz; great-grandchildren, Lily and Alden Koontz; sister, June Janson of Columbia, IL, along with other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL. Memorial Services will be held at the Church at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Bob Goddard, officiating. Interment of ashes will be in Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
The mass intention for the repose of Audrey's soul will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at The Shrine of St. Joseph, 1220 N. 11th St., St. Louis, Mo. 63106
