Ashley Stephen How, 74 years of Cahokia Heights, IL, passed away on August 15, 2025 at his residence. He was born October 22, 1950, in Festus, MO.
Ashley was a retired professor from St. Louis University/Parks College. He was also United States Navy veteran, Petty Officer First Class, serving in Vietnam from 1971-1972 and he proudly served his country from 1970-1980.
Surviving are daughter, Amanda (Matthew) Bacon, his son, Zachary (Jennifer) How, his grandchildren, Aidan, Sophia and Avery Bacon, and Zoey How, his brother, William How, his sister-in-law, Donna How, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Parker and Grace Virginia, nee Clow, How and his two brothers, Adam How and Stephen How.
Father, Grandfather, and friend to all. You will be forever missed on earth.
Services for Ashley will be held on Tuesday, October 14th at 10:30 a.m. Please meet at Leesman Funeral Home, 326 S. Main St., Dupo, IL. 62239, at 10:00 a.m. and we will process to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for interment with military honors.
