Arthur A. "Art" Baltz's Obituary
Arthur A. "Art" Baltz, 82 years old of Saint Louis, MO, and formerly of Columbia, IL, passed away on February 18, 2019 at Mercy South Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born April 13, 1936, in Columbia, IL. He was married to the late Arlou, nee McDonald, Baltz. They were married October 11, 1958, in Waterloo, IL. She passed away November 4, 2010.
Art was retired from Luhr Brothers Inc., Columbia, IL. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, and the Rotary Club in Columbia, IL and the Board of Directors of Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. He also enjoyed playing the clarinet in the Bud Light Brigade.
Surviving are son, Richard (Denise) Baltz of Saint Louis, MO, along with other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Edna, nee Dahmer, Baltz.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 24, 2019, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL, and Monday, February 25, 2019, 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 127 N. St. Paul St., Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at church, with Pastor Bob Goddard officiating. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
