Arleen S. Schmiskie's Obituary
Arleen S. Schmiskie, 91 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on October 10, 2018 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. She was born September 15, 1927, in Troy, IL. She was married to the late John J. Schmiskie. They were married June 19, 1948 in Troy, IL. He passed away April 21, 2018.
Arleen was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL, where she had been active with the Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Belleville, IL.
Surviving are three daughters, Judith Zellers of Oviedo, FL, Paula Honey of Carbondale, IL, and Nyla (Roger) Rednour of Prairie Du Rocher, IL; a son, Ronald Schmiskie of Dupo, IL; sister, Gladys Skeens of Troy, IL; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Jennie, nee Hunsche, Faitz; and brother, Earl Faitz.
Visitation will be Friday, October 12, 2018, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL, and Saturday, October 13, 2018, 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, with Pastor Bob Goddard officiating. Entombment will follow in the Valhalla Gardens Of Memory, Belleville, IL.
