Arleen Alida Kempf's Obituary
Arleen Alida Kempf, nee, Hofstetter, 87, of Waterloo, Ill., formerly of Dupo, Ill., born, March 23, 1929 in Dupo, Ill., passed away Monday, January 16, 2017
Arleen was retired from Edison Brother’s Shoe Company as an office worker. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, Ill., Christ United Church of Christ Women’s Guild, she enjoyed playing cards with her card club on the third Thursday of every month. Arleen enjoyed boating, water skiing and camping with her camping friends and family on Triple Lakes Road on the Bluff.
Arleen was preceded in death by her, husband, Norman Kempf, her parents, Adolph and Frieda, nee Keller, Hofstetter, her brothers, Alfred, Arthur, Raymond and Kenneth Hofstetter.
Arleen is survived by her two daughters, Judith Lynn Diesel and Deborah Ann (Joseph) Schneider, her grandson, Adam Martin (Hillary) Schneider, her sisters-in-law, Elsie Hofstetter and Opal Kempf, her brothers-in-law, Raymond Kempf and Orville (Judy) Kempf. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to Christ United Church of Christ elevator fund or to the activity fund at Oak Hill.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., and on Saturday, January 21, 2017 an hour before the service at the church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, Ill., with Pastor Todd Mushaney, officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Bohnemeier Cemetery in East Carondelet, Ill.
