Anna Lee Wilson's Obituary
Anna Lee Wilson, nee Allen, 80 years, of Millstadt, Illinois, passed away on April 10th, 2024 in O'Fallon, Illinois. She was born May 2nd, 1943 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to James and Dora Mae (Bles) Allen.
Anna married James Wilson on April 8th, 1961, he preceded her in death in July of 2021. She was affectionately known as Nanny or Nan by everyone, she had an infinite amount of love to give and she did so to everyone that came into her life. She loved crafting, especially sewing and crocheting. Nan loved to read murder mysteries, watch movies, as well as cooking and baking. She loved to spend time with family and friends and enjoyed the company of her dog “Her Treasure” Riley James.
Surviving are her brother, George W. (Rhonda) Allen, her nieces; Christine (John) Gasser, Dawn (Justin) Henschen, and Kelly (Kenny) Kiefer, Debbie (Brad) Curtis, her nephews; Scott (Shara) Allen and Robert J. Allen, great-nieces; Rachael (Marvin) Rosa, Paige (fiance' Justin) Green, Jordan (John) Ray, "her goddaughter", Chantelle (Dustin) Godier, Victoria (fiance' Ryan) Paschke, Logan (fiance' William) Green Kaylee and Karlie Kiefer, her great-nephews; Nicholas (Sophia) Allen, Cole (Amanda) Guenther, Avery (Raylynn) Gasser, and Frank Allen, her great-great nieces; Annistyn Beshears, Margot Allen, Caelynn and Oaklee Gasser, Olive and Leena Garrett, Scarlet Rosa, her great-great nephews, Reed and Charlie Godier, her sister-in-law, Joann (Bill) Fiedler, her friends like family, Brad (Tina) Pearman, along with other brothers and sisters-in-law, other relatives, and wonderful neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Wilson, parents; James and Dora Mae Allen, brother, James R. Allen, and her in-laws.
Visitation will be Monday, April 15th, 202 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois and Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois. Services will be held Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 11:00 am at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois, with Fr. Marvin Volk, officiating. Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
