Amanda "Mandi" Hoffmann's Obituary
Where do we begin when we talk about Amanda (Mandi) Ruth Hoffmann? Her story begins with her Savior, Jesus Christ. Mandi was one who loved her Lord and let His love shine through everything she did. If you knew Mandi, you knew her passion – her Savior.
Amanda Ruth Hoffmann, 31, of Columbia, Illinois, passed away October 10th, 2021 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mandi was born to Bruce and Theresa (McCloud) Hoffmann on July 28, 1990 at St. Anthony’s Hospital (now Mercy South) much to the joy of her older sister, Tressa (Hoffmann) Scott. Mandi received the gift of the Holy Ghost on November 29, 1998 at the First Pentecostal Church in Dupo, IL. She spent her childhood in Columbia, IL and attended St Clair Christian Academy kindergarten through 5th grade and then graduated from Columbia High School in 2008. At Columbia High School she was a member of the bowling and color guard teams. She sang in the high school choirs – but that was only the beginning of her singing life.
For more than the last 10 years, Mandi has been a part of the worship music team at Twin Rivers Worship Center. She participated in special productions, the choir and praise team. Throughout Mandi’s life her church families have included the First Pentecostal Church of Dupo, IL and Twin Rivers Worship Center, St. Louis, MO. She was always ready to give a testimony to the work of God in her life. You will find all sorts of videos of Mandi singing on her Facebook page.
Mandi was a giver! She touched countless lives with her love. Her friends and family members will tell you that she helped them to want to be better people. She had a knack for finding the beauty in everybody and always made everyone feel special, welcome and accepted.
Mandi spent much time with her family and friends. She spent much time caring for her grandmother, Daphene, the last two years of Daphene’s life. She was and still is a source of encouragement and wisdom to her niece, Madelyn. To her friends she would not only share wisdom, but a real sense of humor along with plenty of sass.
Mandi worked at Nikodem Dental since 2016 where she consistently touched the lives of both coworkers and clients.
Preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Clyde McCloud, paternal grandparents, Armin & Daphene Hoffmann and her uncle Tim McCloud.
Survived by her loving parents, Bruce & Theresa Hoffmann, sister, Tressa (Hoffmann) Scott, nieces Madelyn Powell and Kamryn Scott, and brother, Kenny (Robb) Powell. Survived also by many cousins, aunts, uncles and countless friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 11am - 1pm at the Twin Rivers Worship Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 16th, 2021 at 1pm at the Twin Rivers Worship Center in St. Louis, Missouri with Pastor Curtis Bridgeman officiating.
