Allen King's Obituary
(Charles) Allen King, 54 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on February 19, 2018 at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born September 22, 1963, in Centreville, IL. He was married to Angela, nee Bergmire, King, who survives him. They were married August 8, 1987, in St. Louis, MO.
Allen was a member of Hope Christian Church, Columbia, IL. He was employed as a dispatcher for Copp of St. Louis, Inc., trucking company. Allen loved music, especially playing his bass guitar, enjoyed the outdoors while boating and fishing. He was a wonderful husband and father.
Also surviving are his children, Zachary, Elijah, and Ellie King; mother, Ruby, nee Cobb, King; three sisters, Rita (Richard) Kruse, Debbie (Gary) Clement, and Lorie (Dennis) Weaver, two brothers, Ron King, and Bob King; sister-in-law, Gail King; mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Michael Bergmire; sister-in-law, Dawn Bergmire; and brother-in-law, Kurt (Bobbie) Bergmire, along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie King, and brother, Larry King.
Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 2018, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL, and Saturday, February 24, 2018, 11:00 am - 12 noon, at Hope Christian Church, 9273 Coach Stop Rd., Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, at Hope Christian Church. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, IL
