Alice Mary Priscilla Sunderman, 92 yrs., of Waterloo, IL, formerly of Columbia, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. She was born in Columbia, IL, the daughter of William and Louisa (Schlegel) McConkey. She was married to Bernard W. Sunderman. They were married on April 22, 1939, at Columbia, IL. Alice was a graduate of Columbia High School and the Cosmetology School of East St. Louis, IL. She had owned her own beauty shop in Columbia. Later, she and her husband opened and operated Sunderman's Garage on Bottom Ave. in Columbia for many years. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL, a friend of Christ Community Church, Columbia, IL, and the Columbia Senior Citizens.
