Alex was preceded in death by his parents: Lorraine & Elvira, nee Nold, Tegtmeier MD. Alex is survived by his wife: Patricia Tegtmeier, his sons: Shaun McGuire & Scott McGuire, his daughter: Sue Ann Tegtmeier, his grandchildren: Patrick McGuire, Chloe McGuire & Lilly McGuire, his brothers: Kurt (Ann) Tegtmeier & Carl (Liz) Tegtmeier, his nieces & nephews: Kurt Tegtmeier Jr., Phillip Tegtmeier, Lynn Danis, Katie Curdiff, Chris Tegtmeier, & Jenny Tegtmeier, he is also survived by other relatives & friends. Alex retired from the Air National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel and he later retired from Hartford Insurance Company as a claims adjuster. He was a member of Faith Family Church in Shiloh, IL., where he was very active in many aspects of the church. He was a life member of Sister Cities in Millstadt & Columbia and he was on the board for the Sister Cities in Columbia. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Belleville and he was a member of the American Legion Post 502 in Millstadt. Memorials may be made to Faith Family Church.
