Agnes C. Frierdich's Obituary
Agnes C. Frierdich, nee Schneider, 87 of Millstadt, Ill., born August 5, 1930 in Millstadt, Ill., passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at Mercy Rehab and Care Center in Swansea, Ill.
Agnes was a homemaker. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill., St. James Council of Catholic Women and the Over Fifty Club. Agnes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing with and seeing her great grandchildren, and she made the best chocolate chip cookies ever.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Walter Frank Frierdich, who passed away on March 7, 2017, her father, Frank Schneider, her mother, Cecilia "Anne", nee Schoenborn, Schneider-Drennen, her brother, Daniel Schneider, brother-in-law, Ralph Henss, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William H. and Bertha, nee Menner, Frierdich, her sister-in-law, Hilda (August) Schaefer, her brothers-in-law, Elmer and William (Helen) Frierdich.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Gary) Weingartner, her son, James (Mary) Frierdich, her grandchildren, Carrie (Brian) Gettinger, Michael Weingartner, Erin (Scott) Richter, Dan (Briana) Frierdich and Jill (Tom) Gravemann, her great grandchildren, Olivia and Avery Gettinger, Abigail and Jenna Weingartner and Simon Frierdich, her sisters, Dorothy (Roy) Skaer and Elaine (Don) Ortmann, her brothers, Frank (Janice) Schneider, Ralph (Toni) Schneider, Robert (Janet) Schneider and Ken (Becky) Schneider as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mercy Rehab and Care Center in Swansea, Ill., and Monsignor Marvin Volk for his pastoral care to Agnes.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill. and Monday, November 27, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill.
Funeral Mass will be on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill., with Monsignor Marvin Volk and Monsignor Ken Schaefer, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Ill.
