Alice J. Crame

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Alice "Tubby" on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.Alice was born and raised in East St. Louis, IL. She married Bud 64 years ago, Sept. 28, 1946. She obtained an accounting education, worked as an accounts payable supervisor and retired after 33 years at Emerson Electric, St. Louis, MO. She lived in Belleville, IL, for over 50 years and then moved to Waterloo, IL, to be closer to all her family.During her retirement she loved to cook, bake, and sew, and loved going to Tunica with the retirees group from Monsanto where Bud worked. She enjoyed making costumes, dresses, and outfits for her grandchildren, and baking us all birthday cakes. Christmas was her favorite holiday as she loved to shop, bake cookies, and enjoyed being with her family.There will be sadness in our hearts not being able to watch the glimmer in her eyes when getting hugs and kisses from her great-grandchildren whom she fought so long to be here with them. Now she will rest in peace in heaven and will watch over us as we watched over her these last few years.
