I have fond memories of Rich from when I was a young lad attending Turning School all the way through adulthood. He was good friends with my father-in-law, Ron Raeber, so I had the opportunity to spend time with Rich working on Raeber construction projects, playing on Rich’s Turner 1 volleyball team and on three deep sea fishing trips to Port Fourchon, Louisiana. Rich’s welcoming presence and service to his community through the Columbia Volunteer Fire Department and the Turners organization were second to none. I was blessed to have the pleasure of knowing him.

I worked with Rich for many years at Monsanto. A great worker and caring man. After he retired he would come to the Red Bud Firemans Picnic with the CFD. I march with the local Post and Rich would always find his way through the crowd to see me. He was a Great Man and Friend to all.
Rich was a kind, generous, wonderful man. I have awesome memories of both attending Turning School and working alongside Rich and Mick there through high school. His absence in this community will be deeply felt. Condolences to his family
