Jacob Ryan Overby, 20, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his home. He was born on September 24, 2000 in Carbondale to Michael R. and Julie Ann (Nelson) Overby. He ran heavy equipment and worked construction when he was able. Survivors include his mother; Julie Ann Overby of Herrin, father; Michael R. Overby of San Clemente, CA and half sister; Mackenzie Overby. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A private memorial service will be held later. Memorial arrangements were entrusted to Devin McCluskie of Leesman Funeral Homes of Southern Illinois.
