Bob Gene Grah, 88 years of Waterloo, IL., formerly of Willisville, IL, passed away on February 13, 2022 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. He was born March 30, 1933, in Percy, IL. Bob was a retired machinist from McDonnell-Douglas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dupo, IL., the Columbia Blue Lodge #474 A.F. & A.M., IOOF #1009 in Dupo, IL., life member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his son, David Grah of Waterloo, IL, his great granddaughter, Page Duck, his great great granddaughter, Hazel Rea Duck, his sisters, Dorothy Willis of Percy, IL, and Phyllis Damron of Mt. Vernon, IL, his brother, Jack (Sylvia) Grah of Tacoma, WA, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Flora Grah, his sisters, Wanda Bense and Melba Hetherington, his brothers-in-law, Edmund "Kayo" Willis, Donald Hetherington, Harold Damron and Alva Bense. Visitation for family and close friends will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 6 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL., with Rev. Rick Lay, officiating. Interment with military honors will be at a later date in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the American Heart Association.
